1% Giving Pledge

The mission of the BLX Internship Program is to provide opportunities for aspiring Black and Latinx financial planners to obtain an internship at a fee-only or fee-based financial planning firm. We launched the 1% Giving Pledge to provide an opportunity for our supporters to give back to the organization. This program allows supporters to donate 1% of their income to the BLX Internship Program. Funds help us fund further initiatives and support the program as a whole.

What is the 1% Giving Pledge?

The 1% Giving Pledge gives you the freedom to decide how often to make your contribution. Donors can choose to donate monthly, quarterly, or annually. This yearly commitment reflects a larger contribution that can have a significant effect on empowering the next generation through educational and internship opportunities. Below are examples of what a 1% donation might look like on a monthly, quarterly, and annual basis:

Individual Pledge

If your annual salary is $100,000 a 1% donation would be $1,000 per year. This is equivalent to ~$83 for a monthly donation or $250 for a quarterly donation.

Firm Pledge

If your annual firm revenue is $1,000,000 a 1% donation would be $10,000 per year. This is equivalent to ~$833 for a monthly donations or $2,500 for a quarterly donation.
